Stefano Leporatti

Stefano LeporattiProf. Stefano Leporatti, PhD, received his Master Degree in Physics at University of Genoa and obtained in 1999 his PhD in Solid State Physics at Max Planck Institute of Colloids and Interface Science with Prof. Dr. Helmuth Mohwald. He conducted advanced research there and worked as Application Engineer @ Digital Instruments/Veeco Metrology Group, Mannheim (Germany). From 2001 to 2006, he has been Research Scientist at the Institute of Medical Physics & Biophysics, Universität Leipzig, Leipzig (Germany). From 2006 to 2008 he has been Senior Researcher ( Associate Professor Equivalent) at the National Nanotechnology Laboratory (NNL) of CNR-INFM in Lecce, Italy (NanoBioMolecular Division of Prof. R. Rinaldi) and, since 2008, he is there NanoCarriers and BioMechanics Group Leader.

Stefano Leporatti published more than 150 Publications (> 70 in Peer Reviewed papers, 3 book chapters and 3 invited Review) on biophysical nanostructures. Stefano Leporatti is currently leading a group of 2 PhD students, 2 Graduate students and 1 Postdoc. Tutor of several Master\PhD students, Habilitated as Full and Associate Professor for the Italian Universities in Experimental Physics and Physics of Matter Sectors and Referee of several peer-reviewed Journals (ex: ACS Nano, Langmuir or Nanotechnology).
