Living labs were born in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Boston and have been successfully exported abroad. A Living Lab brings the research out of the laboratory into the real world dynamics in order to fuse technological innovation with organizational and social innovation, in a process that involves all participant subjects: researchers, territorial authorities, small and medium enterprises, association and citizens.
